A puff of sugar at the start – smells just like candy floss. The sweetness is not heavy nor cloying – it is light and cheery. As far as the notes, I can barely tell this is pear, it barely reads fruity. It’s mostly sweet and spicy. Later it softens, becomes muskier and creamier,  it’s really a pleasant and quite an interesting scent behind that candy sweetness.

The real magic of this fragrance is in the dry down. As the leather accord softens, this amazing, rich, spiced vanilla comes through. One of my favorite evening perfumes.

During the day, it’s a delicious fresh honey with the wonderful scent of gardenia and blood orange. At night, it’s a sensual and scandalous honey combined with patchouli: an addiction that’s just so Jean Paul Gaultier. Scandal is a new kind of fragrance for women: the elegant aura that it leaves in her wake is sullied by the Pigalle spirit beloved by Jean Paul Gaultier. Even Madam Minister is tempted by this scent of Scandal. It’s more than a breath of fresh air – it’s a breath of freedom.
