CONDITIONER BAR FOR OILY HAIR

All our Conditioner bars come in 2 sizes – A 15g sample bar and 30g

While it may seem counterintuitive, oily hair still requires nourishment for several reasons:

1. **Scalp Health**: Nourishing the scalp is essential for maintaining healthy hair growth. Even though the scalp may produce excess oil, it still needs nutrients to support the hair follicles and ensure optimal hair growth. A well-nourished scalp can help regulate sebum production and reduce the risk of scalp issues like dandruff or itchiness.

2. **Hair Shaft**: While the scalp may be oily, the lengths and ends of the hair can still become dry or damaged, especially if they are not adequately moisturized. Providing nourishment to the hair shaft helps keep it hydrated, soft, and smooth, reducing frizz and breakage.

3. **Balance**: Balancing the oiliness of the scalp with proper nourishment can help regulate sebum production and prevent the scalp from overcompensating by producing even more oil. By keeping the scalp and hair well-nourished, you can help maintain a healthy balance of natural oils without causing excessive oiliness or greasiness.

4. **Overall Hair Health**: Nourishing oily hair helps maintain its overall health and vitality. Even though oily hair may seem resilient, it can still become dry, brittle, or damaged if not properly cared for. Providing essential nutrients and hydration to the hair helps keep it strong, shiny, and resilient, regardless of its oiliness.

5. **Prevention of Scalp Issues**: Neglecting to nourish oily hair can lead to various scalp issues, including irritation, inflammation, and even hair loss. By providing adequate nourishment to the scalp and hair, you can help prevent these issues and promote a healthy scalp environment for optimal hair growth.

In summary,

while oily hair may seem like it doesn’t need additional nourishment, providing essential nutrients and hydration to the scalp and hair is crucial for maintaining overall hair health, promoting balanced sebum production, and preventing scalp issues. By incorporating nourishing products into your hair care routine, you can keep your oily hair looking and feeling its best.

NOTE: Conditioner bars don’t contain surfactants so they don’t lather! I’ve had a few people ask why their conditioner bars don’t lather…

*Packed with wonderful hair loving ingredients – this conditioner bar is made with:

BTMS 25 – BTMS or Behentrimonium methosulfate is a non-sulphate, quaternary ammonium compound derived from the Colza or Rapeseed oil. This Brassicaceae-related plant produces bright yellow flowers. BTMS is used in many hair care products as a mild moisturizer, detangler and conditioner.

Cetearyl Alcohol – Cetearyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol that can soften the skin and hair.

Jojoba Oil- Jojoba oil is actually a liquid wax rather than a butter, but it’s lightweight and non-greasy, making it an excellent choice for oily hair. Jojoba oil closely resembles the natural sebum produced by the scalp, making it effective at balancing oil production and providing moisture without clogging pores.

Grapeseed Oil-Grapeseed oil is another lightweight oil that is easily absorbed by the hair and scalp. It’s high in linoleic acid, which helps regulate sebum production and can be beneficial for oily hair.

Polyuaterium 7 – Polyquaternium-7 polymer is widely used in cosmetic formulations as an excellent scalp conditioner. It has very specific effects as it soothes, works as an anti-static, and moisturizes the hair. Polyquaternium-7 detangles, facilitates combing, gives the hair better body, and improves hair dryness.

Panthenol B5 – Panthenol B5 is a humectant, which means it is a substance used to maintain moisture – a wetting property. When applied to hair and scalp it penetrates moisture into lower skin layers and deep into each hair strand and hair shaft. It prevents breakage caused from harsh brushing and styling by protecting hair fibres.

Vitamin E – Vitamin E may help support a healthy scalp and hair as it has natural antioxidant effects that could assist with maintaining hair growth. The vitamin’s antioxidant properties could help reduce the amount of oxidative stress and free radicals that cause the hair follicle cells in a person’s scalp to break down.

Peppermint oil is beneficial for the hair and scalp. It can help stimulate circulation to the scalp, promote hair growth, and reduce dandruff. Peppermint oil can be added to shampoos, conditioners, or scalp treatments to invigorate the scalp and promote healthy hair.

Eucalyptus Essentail oil – Eucalyptus oil can help promote scalp health and stimulate hair growth. It has antimicrobial properties that can help reduce dandruff and itchiness and improve overall scalp condition. Adding a few drops of eucalyptus oil to shampoo or scalp treatments can help invigorate the scalp and promote healthy hair growth.

HOW TO USE A SOLID HAIR CONDITIONER BAR

Since this is a solid product, directions for use are slightly different from those you are familiar with in standard cream-like preparations. After cleansing the hair, you should wet the bar and rub it between your hands. The bar will now have a milky-looking surface as its ingredients emulsify in contact with water. Then, glide the bar over your hair strands, leaving the conditioner in for a few minutes to work before rinsing out.

You can also wet the bar and rub it in your hands and apply it to the ends of your hair as a leave on moisturiser.

No matter which method you choose, it’s important to apply your conditioner bar from the mid-length of your hair to the ends, taking care to avoid the roots entirely. The glands that produce sebum (oil) are located right next to the roots of your hair, so applying a conditioner bar to your roots could weigh them down and make your scalp look greasy.

Then again, if a dry scalp is to blame for your brittle, straw-like locks, applying a conditioner bar to the roots could be a great way to give your hair and scalp the moisture it so desperately craves. Do what feels right for your scalp and your hair type!

Allow the Product to Sit in Your Hair for 2-3 Minutes

A common mistake with conditioner bars — and conditioner in general, really — is washing the product out of the hair too quickly. Remember all those hair-strengthening nutrients we were talking about earlier? Well, you need to give them a chance to penetrate the hair strands so they can make your hair soft, shiny and healthy! To ensure that the ingredients have enough time to sink into the strands, leave the product on for two to three minutes before you rinse it out.

HELPFUL TIPS AND TRICKS

Wet the conditioner bar before you apply it to your hair. This will help the bar glide more easily onto your hair and produce a better lather.

Speaking of lather, don’t be alarmed if your conditioner bar doesn’t produce any foamy-looking suds. Our conditioner bars don’t produce a lather because they’re free from sulphates — the aggressive detergents that strip the natural oils from the scalp and hair.

Squeeze a little water out of your hair before you apply your conditioner bar. If your hair is dripping wet, the ingredients will simply run off the strands of your hair and go down the drain. You want your hair to be damp so that each strand can absorb the maximum amount of nutrients.

If you have long hair, make sure you thoroughly coat the ends. Consider holding just the ends in the palm of your hand and painting the conditioner bar onto them.

Store your conditioner bar (and your shampoo bar!) on a soap dish with good drainage. This will prevent your bars from becoming mushy while extending their lifespan. Additionally, keep your bars outside of the shower when you’re not using them.

Run your fingers or a wide-tooth bamboo comb through your hair to ensure the conditioner is evenly distributed all the way to your ends.

It is used to relieve dandruff, restore lustre to dry and damaged hair, tame frizz, and protect hair against styling damage. It is safe to use on most hair types. Coconut oil is packed with fatty acids (especially lauric acid) that can improve hair health

Our conditioner bars combine solid conditioners with hair loving additives to create a decadent moisture depositing hair treatment. With hydrolysed wheat protean and meadow foam seed oil

Water soluble hydrolysed wheat protein is obtained from wheat kernels. It has a moisturising effect on both the hair and skin. It nourishes the skin and is used as a conditioner in shampoos and emulsions.

Meadow Foam Seed oil – The tiny, unassuming seed comes from the Limnanthes alba plant and consists of up to 30% oil. Meadowfoam seed oil closely resembles sebum which is the secretion responsible for keeping human hair and skin naturally moisturized. Meadowfoam seed oil softens the hair, preventing dryness while soothing the hair and scalp

Conditioner bars are just that…conditioner in solid bar form. You use them just like shampoo bars. I love having a separate conditioner.

CAN I USE MY CONDITIONER BAR AS A LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER?

Yes, absolutely! Using a conditioner bar as a leave-in conditioner is a great way to save money, downsize your product arsenal and give your strands an extra boost of nutrients.

Unlike the liquid conditioner you might find at a grocery store, our conditioner bars are silicone-free, which means they’re less likely to cause build up that can weigh your hair down. For this reason, they’re a great leave-in treatment for those with curly hair in particular.

CONDITIONER BAR FOR NOURISHMENT

All our Conditioner bars come in 2 sizes – A 15g sample bar and 30g

This is my favourite conditioner bar. The high amount of conditioning ingredient leaves your hair feeling silky and smooth. It contains some great film-forming additives such as, panthenol and protein.

This conditioner bar has 2 different types of butter – Cocoa butter works as an effective scalp conditioner that seals in moisture and reduces breakage and hair loss by strengthening hair follicles. It protects hair from drying, thereby controlling frizz and boosting volume to keep it looking and feeling soft, lush, and lustrous. Shea butter actually provides a natural form of heat and UV protection due to the way it absorbs into—rather than sits on top of—each strand of hair.

Our conditioner bars combine solid conditioners with hair loving additives to create a decadent moisture depositing hair treatment. With Jojoba oil and Avocado oil.

Avocado oil enriches with vitamins, and jojoba oil mimics natural scalp oils. This blend can nourish hair, reduce frizz, and enhance shine.

Conditioner bars are just that…conditioner in solid bar form. You use them just like shampoo bars. I love having a separate conditioner.

NOTE: Conditioner bars don’t contain surfactants so they don’t lather! I’ve had a few people ask why their conditioner bars don’t lather…

*Packed with wonderful hair loving ingredients – this conditioner bar is made with:

This Brassicaceae-related plant produces bright yellow flowers. BTMS is used in many hair care products as a mild moisturizer, detangler and conditioner.

Emulsifying Wax- Emulsifying wax is used in personal care products like a lotion and a cream as a thickener and emulsifier. Its main purpose is to make sure that the oils and water in a recipe bind together into a smooth emulsion. Without an emulsifier, the oils in the product do not mix with water.

Cetearyl Alcohol – Cetearyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol that can soften the skin and hair.

Glycerine – Glycerine is derived from plant oils (like shea butter or coconut oil), animal products, or petroleum. While it’s actually a sugar alcohol, it looks like fat. When it comes to hair, glycerine is a humectant, meaning it can actually pull in moisture from the air, keeping hair hydrated and healthy.
